Chief Secretary to the government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan said in a statement that Khazali was appointed based on his qualification, experience, and outstanding performance in economic, tax and financial management.
Prior to his appointment as Sabah federal secretary, Khazali, 56, joined the Administrative and Diplomatic Service on December 1, 1981.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics in Agricultural Economics degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Master’s in Economics from Central State University, Oklahoma. [Malaysian Insider]
