    Mohd. Ali Baharom was reported in the press, apologizing for buying the title Datuk for himself (RM250,000) as well as a friend by facilitating entertainment for sum of around RM1 Million.

  • The news report only discloses that this title was bought from an agent or member of royal family of a northern state and that this member has since gone bankrupt. This is possible separate corruption issue.
  • There are also possible questions with regards to source of RM1,250,000 worth of funds for those implicated in this issue.
